Who I Am

I’m Gabriela, originally from Brazil and now based in Australia. My background isn’t in art or ceramics—in fact, I didn’t follow the “traditional” creative path at all. Starting Homely Creations was my way of reconnecting with my creativity and building something that reflects who I am. It’s also a reflection of the courage it takes to start over, take a risk, and trust your instincts, even when the path isn’t clear.

About Homely

Homely started as a deeply personal decision, a turning point in my life where I chose to follow a path that brought me genuine joy. I had been searching for something more fulfilling than the traditional career paths I had known, something that allowed me to create with purpose. That search led me here, to a place where I could use my hands, my heart, and my creativity to build something meaningful.

I’m inspired by the idea that home isn’t just a physical space—it’s a feeling. And I want to create pieces that make people feel inspired, and free to be themselves.

Products and Process

Each piece at Homely is handmade in small batches, using materials like jesmonite and ceramic. I intentionally keep things slow and personal. Every item is poured, sanded, and finished by hand, meaning no two are ever the same.

I embrace the natural imperfections and variations that come with the process, because I believe that’s where real beauty lives. My goal is to create objects that hold space in your home and add a quiet sense of comfort and character.

What Matters Most to Me

At the heart of Homely is a mission to create decor that encourages self-expression and personal growth. I believe everyone deserves a home that reflects who they truly are, where they’ve been and where they’re going.

Creativity, authenticity, and emotional connection matter most to me. I want Homely to be more than just a brand; I want it to be a space where people feel safe to explore themselves, to feel inspired, and to grow. I also care about sustainability and intention, choosing materials and methods that reflect care for the people and the planet.
